Silas and Kane
As a student at the Animal Behavior College for my dog training Certification I needed a certain amount of hours of hands on experience, and they assigned Kirsten as my mentor. At first I was very skeptical because what I had thought was more effective was training the dog through avoidance, but working with Kirsten opened up my eyes to other more effective ways of training.
The first day we played a game on whether or
not your dog knows the true meaning of the word 'Sit'. Well, Silas did not, but, after learning from Kirsten the proper way to teach this, Silas now knows what 'Sit' means. After the first day I noticed an immediate difference when I worked with my dogs, Kane and Silas. They were much more eager to learn new things, and love working on their obedience and new tricks.
I absolutely love working with Kirsten, she explains things so well and I am definitely going to go back to class even though I have finished my hours. =]
