Frustrating isn't it! But you are not alone. Most dogs do more than one of these things. That doesn't make them bad dogs, but they do need training. Dogs are not born understanding how to live in our crazy world of busy families, kids, houses, cars, yards, gardens, roads, and leashes (they also aren't born to hang out alone all day). We have to teach them how to live in our world. Sometimes a dog will figure it out right away, but most need guidance.

If your dog is doing any of the above behaviors or some variation of them The Gentle Canine can help. Training hours are Monday thru Friday by appointment and occasional Saturdays. Sunday we are closed. We will make every effort to work with your schedule.

We also treat aggression, fear, and guarding behavior. Please call 609-870-3601 so I can personally assess your aggressive or fearful dog situation and get you answers and reduce your stress.

Our focus is building a relationship between you, your dog, and your family.

Packages

30-Day Plan You get 5 private in-home training sessions and unlimited email support for 30 days. Each in-home training session will last approximately 1 hour. You can choose to do 5 sessions in a row, or space them out over 30 days. In-home training sessions and email must be completed in 30 days.

45-Day Plan You will get 8 private in-home training sessions and unlimited email support for 45 days. Each training session will last approximately 1 hour. You can choose to do 8 sessions in a row or space them out over a 45 day period. In-home training sessions and email must be completed in 45 days.

The Workshop A half day session for a group of friends, family, or a business (up to 6 dogs). The Workshop covers dog body language, understanding healthy dog play (and harmful play), dog-dog communication, problem behavior, and a Question and Answer session. Whether you are planning an afternoon fun dog party or an intense skill building class--ask about The Workshop. The Workshop is for Dog-Friendly dogs only. If you need aggression help we can set that up privately

2 Hour In-home Consultation This is a 2-hour ask the trainer session. This is the perfect session if you are going to introduce new dogs to each other, bring home a new dog or puppy, or just have some concerns you want resolved. This session is the perfect gift for new dog owners who need a little help, but are afraid to ask.

Train By Phone This is for busy families that are out of my training area, looking for a second opinion, or have some questions about dog training. I have done phone consultations with people all over the world, but I have also had consults with busy people in my community whose hours didn't fit a workable schedule. You can take this session just once, weekly, or monthly. It's up to you. For more info on training by phone click here

It is considered unethical to offer a guarantee in dog training. In fact, as a CPDT-KA I am required to adhere to a strict code of ethics in my practice. It is impossible to guarantee dog training because of the vast amount of uncontrolled variables that surround behavior. That means no one can guarantee how your dog will behave in certain situations even after extensive training.
