Why dog training by phone works:

If you have questions about your dog's behavior that keep you searching for hours on the internet only to end up more confused or frustrated. I'm available by phone to answer your questions and help solve behavior problems.

The internet can be a great source of information...if you know what you are looking for and how to apply what you have read, but most of the time the internet becomes just a vast sea of contradicting information. This is where asking a professional for advice is invaluable.

It's convenient because we set up a time and simply meet on the phone or by skype. You can call from anywhere!

But doesn't the trainer have to see my dog being bad? This is one of those great misconceptions. You see, often times I work with dogs that have aggressive behavior. They have bitten another dog, bitten a child, or lunged at a dog while walking on leash. I do not need to see the dog repeat these behaviors to help solve the problem. In fact, it can be dangerous to get the dog to re-create the behavior - especially when biting is involved. We wouldn't ask a child or another dog to go though that trauma a second time.

But what about things like potty training, or jumping on people, nipping, crate training, or bolting out the door? Again, these are all stressful behaviors to deal with but most of the time they can be handled over the phone. I am very good at asking detailed questions in order to get to the root of the behavior. Once that is solved I will put management in place. Following management is training.
