Meet Allie

Allie Bryan joined the GentleCanine team in June 2017. After earning her BA in Zoology from UVM in 2010, Allie has worked with many different species at zoos and aquariums. Allie has always maintained a special interest in animal behavior until shifting her focus in 2014 to dog training after taking home her gas station rescue pup, Earl. Allie earned her CPDT-KA in 2015, is a AKC CGC evaluator as well as a K9-5 therapy dog evaluator.

Developing confidence and work ethic in Earl after his traumatic start to life has lead Allie to a passion for a voluntary participation style of training, as well as developing an emphasis on canine husbandry and vet touch. Allie finds the most satisfaction in training with helping clients and dogs to build positive relationships and benefit each other’s lives.

Allie enjoys watching owners and their dogs find small successes building up to major behavior changes over time. Through fun problem solving games, and an ability to put any anxious dog (or client!) at ease, Allie’s identifying skill is being able to bring out the goofy side in dogs and clients alike.

Allie can be found on the weekends, fanny pack and all, snow shoeing or hiking in the La Plate mountains, encouraging Earl to “make good choice’s!” and carrying an iced coffee, black.
